When Henry Molaison died, they put his brain to the medical equivalent of an industrial meat slicer. His brain was indexed across a couple thousand scans.
Henry had anterograde amnesia, meaning he couldn't remember very well, yet most of what we now know about memory can be attributed to him.

We're keen to distinguish ourselves from AI. While we pride ourselves on how we think, maybe the real difference lies in what we consume.
For now, here's how our inputs differ:
My name is Toby. I'm a third year at the University of Chicago studying economics and psychology. Recently, I've been thinking a lot about the relationship between memory, time, writing, and materialization.
For the past three years, I've put down a journal entry every day about what I saw, heard, did, experienced, thought about. Here's that data. An attempt at decreasing the distance between you and me.
Coming soon.

For now, here's how our inputs differ:
- our inputs are multimodal: visuals, audio, touch, taste, scent
- our inputs are others: friends, family, acquaintances
- our inputs are serendipitous
